Eurobattery Minerals AB submitted applications for Strategic Project status under the EU's Critical Raw Materials Act for its San Juan tungsten project in Spain and Hautalampi battery mineral project in Finland. The applications will be reviewed by the European Commission, with results expected in approximately four months.

Recognition as a Strategic Project would facilitate permitting processes and access to financing, strengthening Europe's supply of tungsten. Separately, the EU proposed financial assistance for Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, Portugal, and Romania under the Security Action for Europe initiative, with a total of around €38 billion available for military readiness and defense equipment.
