Exail has signed two contracts for its DriX H-9 autonomous surface drone aimed at maritime defense and hydrographic applications. The first contract, awarded by an undisclosed navy's innovation arm, involves equipping the DriX H-9 with counter-drone capabilities for detecting and neutralizing hostile aerial unmanned systems.
The second contract comes from the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM) of the French Navy, marking SHOM's second purchase of a DriX platform to enhance seabed mapping and data collection. These contracts increase the total DriX H-9 orders to three in recent months.
The DriX H-9 is a 9-meter vessel capable of operating for up to 20 days, reaching speeds of 13 knots, and covering 2,000 nautical miles. It features a modular payload architecture for various applications, including hydrography and underwater vehicle deployment.
