EXMAR Selected for Marine Operations Contract by Cedar LNG for FLNG Project in Canada
EXMAR has been awarded a contract by Cedar LNG Partners LP to provide marine operations and maintenance for the floating liquefaction unit, megúgu, in Kitimat, British Columbia. Cedar LNG, majority-owned by Haisla Nation and partnered with Pembina Pipeline Corporation, is the world's first Indigenous majority-owned LNG facility, designed to operate with renewable electricity. The facility, under construction at Samsung Heavy Industries, has a capacity of 3.3 million tonnes per annum.

EXMAR will manage marine operations and maintenance for Cedar LNG's floating liquefaction unit, megúgu, in Kitimat, British Columbia. This project is notable as the world's first Indigenous majority-owned LNG facility, with the Haisla Nation holding the majority stake alongside Pembina Pipeline Corporation.
The FLNG unit, under construction at Samsung Heavy Industries, is powered by renewable electricity and has a nameplate capacity of 3.3 million tonnes per annum. EXMAR's involvement will begin immediately during the construction and pre-operations phases, focusing on developing operational procedures in partnership with Cedar's team.
