Fairhope Docks Marina Designated as Alabama's First Clean and Resilient Marina
Fairhope Docks Marina has been designated as Alabama's first Clean and Resilient Marina after meeting 11 environmental and disaster preparedness criteria, including proper vessel waste disposal and spill response capabilities. This recognition, announced by the Alabama-Mississippi Sea Grant Consortium and the Gulf of America Alliance, is supported by a nearly $20,000 grant and aims to reduce water pollution and protect coastal habitats. The marina will also display a flag to commemorate the achievement as part of NOAA's Clean and Resilient Marina Program.
