FANUC America has launched the CRX-3iA, a lightweight collaborative robot aimed at automating diverse tasks in manufacturing and mining. The robot's portability allows for quick redeployment across workstations, facilitating operations such as welding and part handling, particularly in confined spaces.
With a payload capacity of 3 kg and a reach of 692 mm, it is designed for efficiency in small, high-mix task environments. FANUC's CRX Series supports payloads up to 40 kg and features a new 'Triangle Weave' welding profile, enhancing precision in challenging applications.
The CRX-3iA will be available for orders, alongside improvements in the CRX lineup that include advanced controller functionalities and increased throughput for fastening operations. The introduction of these robots could significantly enhance productivity in the manufacturing and mining sectors, addressing labor challenges and operational efficiency.
