Federal GSA Sells 62-Acre TCAAP Property in Arden Hills for $3.58 Million
The U.S. General Services Administration sold a 62-acre parcel of the former Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant for $3.58 million to SPQR Arden Hills LLC. This sale aims to reduce federal liabilities and generate economic opportunities in the region.

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) auctioned a 62-acre Hillview parcel in Arden Hills for $3.58 million, sold to SPQR Arden Hills LLC. This transaction aims to cut costs for taxpayers and eliminate liabilities associated with the property, which has obsolete infrastructure.
The land, part of the former Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant, has been under federal groundwater review. Notably, the sale follows a history of environmental restoration efforts by the U.S. Army and various agencies.
Development on the adjacent 427 acres at Rice Creek Commons has faced delays due to political and legal challenges. The Ryan Companies initiated construction in April 2025 on a new facility for Micro Control Company, marking progress in the area.
