FedEx and SOLS Foundation Empower Orang Asli Village with Solar Energy in Malaysia
FedEx and SOLS Foundation have successfully implemented solar energy systems in Kampung Kepayang, Malaysia, benefiting 15 households. This initiative enhances living conditions and promotes sustainability in the Semai indigenous community.

FedEx has collaborated with SOLS Foundation to provide solar power to 15 households in Kampung Kepayang, an Orang Asli village in Perak, Malaysia. Each home received a 50-watt solar panel and a lithium-ion battery capable of delivering up to 19 hours of lighting per charge.
Prior to the installation, residents relied on candles and fuel generators for power. The project involved 23 FedEx volunteers who assisted with equipment installation and gathered data to assess the initiative's long-term impacts. This effort aligns with FedEx's global sustainability goals under its FedEx Cares program, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2040.
