Fermaca to Invest in Fertilizer Production and Data Centers in Mexico
Fermaca Global plans to construct a fertilizer plant in Mexico with an investment of 20 billion pesos, producing 1 million tons of urea annually. This initiative aims to satisfy domestic demand and reduce reliance on imports, while also expanding natural gas infrastructure and developing data centers in Durango.

Fermaca Global will invest 20 billion pesos to establish a fertilizer plant in Mexico, targeting an annual production of 1 million tons of urea. The project aims to supply 50% of its output to the national market, addressing local demands that are currently met through imports.
Additionally, Fermaca is expanding its natural gas pipeline network, which includes 2,000 kilometers of gas pipelines, and plans to develop a data center in Durango with a capacity of 250 MW, supported by a local natural gas supply. This investment reflects a growing investor confidence in Mexico’s energy sector and the government's shift toward private sector collaboration.
