Fibionic, an Austrian deeptech startup, has secured €3 million in seed financing led by Redstone and Euregio+, with contributions from Caesar, Leap435, and angel investors. The funding will be used to further develop its patented fibonic fiber placement (FFP) technology, which optimizes the production of lightweight composite components inspired by natural structures.

FFP allows for cycle times of up to one minute per component, aiming to reduce material usage by up to 60% and product weight by 50%. Fibionic plans to expand its industrial processes, grow its team, and advance pilot projects to full-scale production in sectors like automotive, robotics, and aerospace.
