FIIs Increase Stake in Drone and Anti-Drone Stocks in Q1FY27
Foreign Institutional Investors have raised their stakes in Indian drone and anti-drone companies in Q1FY27, highlighting a significant trend in defense sector investments. The increased capital expenditure in defense and the promotion of indigenous technologies present growth opportunities for these companies.

In Q1FY27, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) increased their stakes in IdeaForge, Paras Defense and Space Technologies, and Astra Microwave Products, reflecting a growing interest in the drone and anti-drone sectors. Notably, Astra Microwave Products saw its FII stake rise from 7.56% to 10.70%; while it does not manufacture drones, it produces critical components for drone systems.
The Indian government's focus on enhancing defense capabilities and the strategic importance of drones in warfare are likely to drive long-term growth for these companies. Continued investment in indigenous defense technologies may present further opportunities and risks for investors.
