Final Panel Installed at Quorn Park Solar-Battery Hybrid Facility in Australia
The Quorn Park Hybrid Solar facility in New South Wales has completed its installation of 161,000 solar panels, marking a significant milestone as Australia's first large-scale solar-battery hybrid project connected to the main grid. The $192 million project, developed by Potentia Energy and constructed by Beon Energy Solutions, combines 80 MW of solar capacity with a 20 MW battery. Completion is expected in late 2026, with the facility set to power approximately 45,000 homes annually and enhance grid reliability.

The Quorn Park Hybrid Solar facility in New South Wales has installed its final solar panel, achieving a key milestone for Australia's first large-scale solar-battery hybrid project connected to the main grid. Developed by Potentia Energy, the $192 million facility combines 80 MW of photovoltaic capacity with a 20 MW battery.
Construction, performed by Beon Energy Solutions, involved nearly 161,000 panels and is expected to be completed by late 2026. The project aims to enhance grid reliability and provide enough renewable energy to power around 45,000 homes annually. The facility began injecting power into the National Electricity Market last month.
