Fincantieri Enhances Naval Solutions in Malaysia Amid Rising Defense Needs
Fincantieri is expanding its operations in Malaysia to meet the country's increasing defense spending and demand for advanced naval technologies. This expansion includes the deployment of multi-mission assets like the LPD San Giusto Enhanced and digital innovations across various naval platforms.

Fincantieri is strengthening its presence in Malaysia, aligning with the country's rising defense budgets. The LPD San Giusto Enhanced, an amphibious transport vessel, features a full load displacement of approximately 8,800 tons and can achieve speeds over 20 knots.
Its design includes a floodable dock and modular internal spaces for mission-specific configurations. The company is also introducing advanced digital solutions across platforms like the MPCS/PPA Frigate and the PPX, enhancing operational efficiency.
Notably, the U212 NFS submarine represents the evolution of submarine technology in Italy, emphasizing stealth and modularity. The DEEP system enhances underwater infrastructure protection through a cyber-secure, modular architecture. Fincantieri's approach supports Malaysia's naval capability development while promoting industrial autonomy.
