First Stryker Combat Vehicles to Be Delivered to Bulgaria in February
Bulgaria is set to receive its first 198 Stryker combat vehicles from the US in February, with assembly taking place at the renovated Terem-Ivaylo EOOD plant. The contract, valued at over BGN 1.2 billion, also includes the establishment of a service center for military communication systems. Additionally, Bulgaria is progressing with its F-16 project, preparing for eight aircraft and pilot training for 32 pilots, while planning to increase its defense budget significantly by 2035, pending parliamentary approval.

The first Stryker combat vehicles will arrive from the US to Bulgaria in February, with assembly at the Terem-Ivaylo EOOD plant. Bulgaria will receive 198 Stryker vehicles under a contract worth over BGN 1.2 billion.
The plant has undergone renovations and is prepared for assembly operations, supported by trained personnel. A service center for military communication systems will also be established. Additionally, Bulgaria is advancing its F-16 project with preparations for eight aircraft and pilot training for 32 pilots. The defense budget is set to increase to 3.5% for capabilities and 1.5% for infrastructure by 2035, pending parliamentary approval.
