Five Inverters at 220 kV Substation Solar Park in Cuba Synchronized with National Electric System
POWER GRIDS & TRANSMISSIONSOLAR ENERGY
Five of the seven inverters at the 220 kV Substation Solar Photovoltaic Park in Las Tunas, Cuba, have synchronized with the National Electric System as part of a trial. The solar park, covering 32 hectares, aims to contribute 21.8 MW to the National Interconnected System upon completion.
The installation requires 16,638 piles for 42,588 solar panels. Two remaining inverters, each with a capacity of 3 MW, are to be completed this month. The project is overseen by various companies including Conalza Las Tunas and specialized departments of the Provincial Electric Company.
