The ESFA has approved the second phases of natural gas infrastructure and heating system upgrades in Florina as part of the 2021-2027 programme. This includes the construction of a new natural gas distribution network featuring approximately 16,251.55 meters of low-pressure pipeline and 2,214.90 meters of medium-pressure steel pipeline, at a public expenditure of €6,314,990.50.

Furthermore, funding of €17,033,012.50 has been allocated for replacing heating systems with natural gas systems. This phase involves completing construction and obtaining necessary certifications for consumer connections.
