Fluid Wire Robotics Secures €2.5 Million EIC Accelerator Grant for Space Robotics Development
Fluid Wire Robotics, an offshoot of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, has received a €2.5 million grant from the EIC Accelerator of the European Innovation Council. The funding follows a previous €1.2 million round and will support the development of robotic systems for extreme environments, aimed at enhancing the EU's space infrastructure and servicing capabilities.

Fluid Wire Robotics, a spin-off from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, has been awarded a €2.5 million grant under the EIC Accelerator program. This follows a previous funding round of €1.2 million. The company is focused on developing robotic systems for extreme environments to improve the European space infrastructure.
Their modular, fully electric robotic arm is designed for use in challenging conditions, aiming to make satellite servicing scalable. The company collaborates with Leonardo's Space Division for robotic servicing tasks and other industrial partners for orbital demonstrations and operations. This initiative aligns with Europe's goal of ensuring sovereignty in space operations.
