Fortem Technologies Launches DroneHunter 5.0 to Counter UAV Swarms in US Airspace

DEFENSE

Fortem Technologies has introduced the DroneHunter 5.0, an advanced interceptor drone designed to counter UAV swarms in US airspace. This system emphasizes autonomy and faster takedowns, minimizing the need for human operators.

Key features include dual onboard cameras and increased computing power for detecting and engaging multiple targets in challenging environments. The DroneHunter 5.0 has been selected for operational procurement by the US Department of Defense's counter-UAS task force under the Replicator-2 initiative.

The interceptor can manage up to five units simultaneously against concurrent threats, reflecting advanced drone tactics observed in modern conflicts. Its entanglement-based capture system allows for low-collateral interceptions over sensitive areas. Enhancements also include a redesigned airframe for reliability and an optional four-net-gun configuration to boost capture capacity.
