Foundation Alloy has launched Molyclast™ MC1200, the strongest commercially available molybdenum alloy, surpassing existing market options by being up to three times stronger. MC1200 features exceptional room temperature ductility and is designed for applications in semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and medical imaging.

The alloy maintains predictable strength from 25°C to over 1500°C, mitigating common issues such as embrittlement. Processed using Foundation Alloy's MetalsFIRST™ platform, MC1200 allows for near-net shape production, reducing processing time and scrap by over 60%. This new alloy is expected to redefine the uses of refractory metals and facilitate quicker material deployment for customers.
