Four FIRs have been registered following violent clashes in Ballari, Karnataka, over the installation of banners for a Valmiki statue unveiling, resulting in one death. The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

The clashes involved supporters of BJP MLA Janardhana Reddy and Congress MLA Bharath Reddy. Police reported stone-pelting and accidental firing, leading to the death of Rajashekhar Reddy. Additional police forces have been deployed, and security has been heightened.

FIRs include charges of murder and attempted murder, with investigations ongoing into the source of the fatal bullet. Five firearms have been seized, and inquiries are being conducted regarding weapon licenses. The situation is currently reported as peaceful, with further investigation into the events and police response still underway.
