France Enhances Drone Defense with TRUSTCOMS Contracts Amid Increased Incursions at Military Sites
France has awarded contracts to TRUSTCOMS to enhance its drone defense capabilities amid rising incursions at military sites, including the Mourmelon training camp and Île-Longue naval base. The new Infodrone beacons and DroneBlocker systems aim to improve detection and neutralization of drone threats, with capabilities to identify 95% of drones and neutralize 99% through electronic jamming. These measures come as defense officials express concerns over vulnerabilities and the potential for saturation drone attacks.

France has recorded multiple drone incursions over military facilities including the Mourmelon training camp, Leclerc tank convoy in Mulhouse, Eurenco's Bergerac plant, and Île-Longue naval base, alarming defense officials. Despite existing counterdrone capabilities, including MILAD and PARADE systems, concerns over vulnerabilities persist.
The Chief of Staff of the French Air and Space Force, General Jérôme Bellanger, highlighted the risks of saturation drone attacks during a parliamentary hearing. In response, the French Ministry of Armed Forces (DMAé) awarded two contracts to TRUSTCOMS for Infodrone beacons and DroneBlocker systems to enhance detection and neutralization of drone threats.
Infodrone can detect 95% of drones using Direct Remote Identification signals, while DroneBlocker can neutralize 99% through electronic jamming. These acquisitions aim to reinforce defenses at sensitive sites amid ongoing investigations into recent incursions.
