FSB Detains Taganrog Resident for Alleged Treason and Terrorism Plans
An 18-year-old from Taganrog was detained by the FSB on charges of treason and planning a terrorist attack against Russian forces. This incident highlights ongoing security concerns regarding domestic threats linked to foreign paramilitary groups.

The FSB has detained an 18-year-old resident of Taganrog on suspicion of treason and intent to conduct a terrorist attack against Russian military personnel. Allegations include joining a Ukrainian paramilitary group via Telegram and planning sabotage against railway transport while disseminating anti-military propaganda.
Following a strategy of infiltration, he aimed to enlist in the Russian Ministry of Defense to target fellow servicemen before attempting to surrender to Ukrainian forces. Additionally, local courts are active in treason cases, with one resident sentenced to 12 years for financial support to Ukrainian military personnel. Such incidents indicate potential risks to internal security and the complexities of loyalty among service members.
