GAIL and PNGRB Enhance PNG Infrastructure and Clean Energy in Jharkhand
GAIL and PNGRB are advancing the expansion of domestic PNG connections and clean energy initiatives in Jharkhand. The focus on increasing capital expenditure and collaborative efforts with LPG companies aims to accelerate PNG adoption and strengthen infrastructure.

GAIL (India) Limited, in collaboration with the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), is pushing for accelerated domestic PNG (DPNG) connections and clean energy infrastructure in Jharkhand. During a recent meeting in Ranchi, chaired by Anjani Kumar Tiwari, stakeholders reviewed progress reports from City Gas Distribution (CGD) entities and discussed strategies to enhance capital expenditures beyond authorized limits to expedite PNG deployment.
A significant outcome was the inauguration of the 160th commercial PNG connection at a food court in Hatia, highlighting ongoing developments in PNG usage. The initiative aims to foster cleaner energy adoption and seamless transitions for households in areas with established infrastructure.
