Galliford Try Secures £60M Munitions Contract at RAF Lakenheath for US Air Force

Galliford Try has secured a £60 million contract to build a munitions handling facility at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). The contract entails the construction of three munitions handling buildings, which will provide storage, testing, maintenance, and administrative functions.
This project is being procured on behalf of the US Air Force (USAF), marking Galliford Try's first engagement with the USAF. The contractor has previously completed projects at RAF Marham and RAF Coningsby, enhancing its defence portfolio.
