Gamuda JV Wins RM3.3 Billion MRT Project in Taiwan
Gamuda Bhd's joint venture with Shang Ting Construction has secured a RM3.3 billion MRT project in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This marks a significant expansion of Gamuda's involvement in Taiwan's rail infrastructure, reflecting its growing influence in the region.

Gamuda Bhd's joint venture with Shang Ting Construction Co Ltd has been awarded the Kaohsiung MRT Xiaogang-Linyuan Line project, valued at RM3.3 billion. Gamuda holds a 70% stake, equating to a contract value of RM2.31 billion.
The project entails civil works and electromechanical facilities, including three underground stations, one elevated station, 3.88 km of twin-bound railway track, and six cross passages. Completion is anticipated in seven years and four months.
This project is Gamuda's tenth in Taiwan, following its recent contracts, including the Kaohsiung Port Intercontinental LNG Terminal. The ongoing success underscores Gamuda's established role in Taiwan's infrastructure development.
