GDF Opens Bids for Medical Centre Rehabilitation at Base Camp Stephenson
The Guyana Defence Force is initiating a rehabilitation project for its Medical Centre at Base Camp Stephenson, funded by a portion of the $41.8 billion national budget. This project has garnered interest from 22 contractors, indicating significant engagement in military infrastructure development.

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) has commenced the rehabilitation of its Medical Centre at Base Camp Stephenson, supported by the national budget allocation of $41.8 billion. Bids were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPATB) office, drawing 22 contractors.
In addition, the GDF plans to construct an outdoor gym for the 1 Infantry Battalion and new accommodation for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers at Base Camp Seweyo. These infrastructure enhancements may improve operational readiness and troop welfare, reflecting a strategic investment in military facilities.
