GE Vernova Secures Gas Turbine Upgrade Contracts for Egyptian Power Plants
GE Vernova will upgrade gas turbines at two Egyptian plants, enhancing output and efficiency. This initiative supports Egypt's modernization of its energy infrastructure and aims to improve electricity generation efficiency.

GE Vernova has signed a contract to upgrade 9F-class gas turbines at the Bahna and Nubaria plants in Egypt for Middle Delta Electricity Production Company. The project aims to increase turbine output and efficiency by approximately two percent over a three-year timeline, aligning with Egypt’s energy modernization efforts.
In addition to the turbine upgrades, the deal includes multi-year service agreements. This initiative is part of GE Vernova's broader strategy to expand its renewable and nuclear technology footprint, following recent agreements in Germany and a collaboration with AFRY in Sweden for small modular reactor technology.
