General Atomics Introduces Gambit 6 Unmanned Combat Aircraft with Air-to-Ground Capabilities

DEFENSE

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has unveiled Gambit 6, a new unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) designed for air-to-ground operations, including suppression of enemy air defenses and electronic warfare.

The aircraft features a modular design that supports advanced autonomy and sensor integration. GA-ASI plans for Gambit 6 to be available internationally by 2027, with European versions by 2029, as a response to security challenges in the Indo-Pacific and Eastern Europe.

Its capabilities allow it to neutralize advanced threats while ensuring mission continuity without direct operator input. The Gambit platform shares 70% of its hardware across variants, facilitating rapid development and cost efficiency.
