General Dynamics Wins $255 Million U.S. Navy Fire Control System Contract
General Dynamics Mission Systems secured a $255 million contract to serve as the prime integrator for the U.S. Navy's Trident II Fire Control System (FCS). The contract includes lifecycle support for Ohio-class SSBN FCSs and development for Columbia-class FCSs through 2032, with potential cumulative value of $740 million. Work will occur in multiple locations, including Massachusetts, Washington, Georgia, the UK, Florida, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, continuing until December 2032 if all options are exercised.

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has been awarded a cost-plus-incentive-fee and cost-plus-fixed-fee follow-on contract valued at $255 million for the U.S. Navy's Trident II Fire Control System (FCS).
The contract mandates GDMS to provide lifecycle support for Ohio-class ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) and to develop and install systems for the new Columbia-class SSBNs until 2032. If options are exercised, the total contract value could reach $740 million. Work will be conducted in various locations, primarily in Massachusetts, with additional sites in Washington, Georgia, the UK, Florida, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, extending through December 2032.
