Genneia Expands Solar Project Capacity in Capayán to 300 MW
Genneia has increased its solar project capacity in Capayán from 120 MW to 300 MW, amidst the registration of 14 new renewable energy projects in Argentina. This expansion is part of a broader effort to enhance the country's renewable energy infrastructure, with a total of over 800 MW from various clean energy sources registered under the Renper.

Genneia has amended its Sol del Valle solar project in Capayán, increasing its capacity to 300 MW from the original 120 MW. The Argentine government has registered 14 renewable energy generation projects with a combined capacity exceeding 800 MW, primarily from solar technology, along with wind and biogas initiatives.
The Renper, established under Resolution 281/2017, serves as a central registry for renewable energy projects, facilitating fiscal benefits and validation for connection to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI). In March, Genneia secured the first tranche of financing from BID Invest amounting to USD 185 million, part of a total potential agreement of USD 320 million, focusing on technical and economic support for electricity transmission projects linked to critical mineral investments.
