Gentari and SEDC Energy Sign Agreement for Sarawak Hydrogen Hub Development
Gentari Sdn Bhd and SEDC Energy Sdn Bhd have signed a Heads of Agreement to develop the Sarawak H2 Hub for hydrogen production. This initiative aims to position Sarawak as a commercial hydrogen producer by 2027, supporting the region's transition to a cleaner energy economy.

Gentari Sdn Bhd and SEDC Energy Sdn Bhd have initiated the development of the Sarawak H2 Hub, a centralized hydrogen production facility in Bintulu, through a Heads of Agreement. The partnership aims to optimize hydrogen production projects and establish Sarawak as a key player in the global hydrogen market by 2027.
This joint venture reflects the state government's commitment to clean energy adoption and aligns with the existing Strategic Collaboration Agreement between the two companies. The hub will primarily supply green hydrogen to downstream facilities, facilitating the region's transition to a hydrogen economy. The project indicates significant potential for economic growth and innovation in the clean energy sector.
