Gentari Completes 243MWp Solar-Plus-Storage Facility in Australia
Gentari achieves mechanical completion of a 243MWp solar-plus-storage project, integrating 172MW/409MWh battery storage. This project is significant for its DC-coupled architecture, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs compared to traditional systems.

Gentari's solar-plus-storage project, featuring 243MWp solar capacity and a 172MW/409MWh lithium iron phosphate battery, has reached mechanical completion. Located in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, the facility can export 172MW into the National Electricity Market and import 91MW.
Construction took less than a year, starting in August 2025, with commercial operations expected in Q2 2027. Key partners include PCL Construction, TrinaSolar, and CATL. The project's DC-coupled configuration captures excess solar energy efficiently, enhancing overall system performance. This completion increases Gentari's portfolio to approximately 814MW in Australia, indicating a growing presence in the renewable sector.
