Gentex Chosen for US Army Soldier Communication Systems Enhancement
Gentex Corporation will provide its Ops-Core AMP headset and related systems for the US Army's Next Generation Command and Control initiative, enhancing soldier communication. This selection supports Project Convergence Capstone 6, which aims to evaluate advanced digital command-and-control systems.

Gentex Corporation has been selected to deliver its Ops-Core AMP communication headset along with integrated soldier systems for the US Army's Next Generation Command and Control prototyping program. This initiative is part of the preparations for Project Convergence Capstone 6, where soldiers will test systems designed for real-time connectivity among sensors, shooters, and command elements.
The equipment will include push-to-talk systems and cabling that facilitate seamless communication between vehicle intercoms and personal radios. Additionally, NFMI earplugs will be supplied to minimize noise while maintaining situational awareness. The focus on communication enhancements is noted in other recent programs, including a new combat helmet by Team Wendy Ceradyne and Theon International, funded by the US Army, and initiatives by Auburn University and Q-Net Security.
