Gentherm Outlines Growth Strategy at J.P. Morgan Conference Amid Modine Merger
Gentherm plans to merge with Modine Performance Technologies, aiming for $3.5 billion in revenue by 2030. The merger is expected to enhance cross-selling opportunities and expand market reach, particularly in China and adjacent markets.

Gentherm (THRM) announced its merger with Modine Performance Technologies during the J.P. Morgan automotive conference, projecting revenues to exceed $3.5 billion by 2030. The combined entity is expected to generate approximately $2.6 billion in initial revenues with over 12% EBITDA margins.
The merger aims to add $100 million in cross-selling revenues by 2030, primarily from the valve sector. Gentherm's existing business is forecasted to grow from $1.6 billion in 2024 to over $2 billion by 2030, driven by Chinese market demand and comfort features.
The company has also reported strong revenue growth and operational improvements for the first half of 2024. However, inflationary pressures and inventory adjustments remain challenges. The launch of new products, including ThermAffyx for medical applications, and expansion into home and office furniture markets are also key strategies.
Gentherm employs a 'China for China' model to capitalize on local manufacturing and supply chains. The company has 14,000 employees globally and serves over 50 automotive manufacturers, highlighting its market leadership in thermal management technologies.
