George Mason University has established a partnership with MetroStar, an AI-focused defense company founded by three alumni. This multi-year strategic alliance will support students and programming at the university, with MetroStar becoming a Costello Corporate Partner in the College of Business and an Industry Partner in the College of Engineering and Computing.

The collaboration includes the launch of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students, particularly those minoring in government contracting or management information systems, as well as a Clearance Ready Scholarship for students seeking national security clearance. The initiative aims to strengthen academic offerings and foster innovation in government contracting education, while also supporting the Mason Innovation Exchange and events like PatriotHacks.
