Germany Introduces IRIS-T SLM/X Air Defense System with 100 km Range to Compete with Patriot
Germany unveils the IRIS-T SLM/X air defense missile system, featuring a 100 km range and mixed load capabilities. The system combines the SLM and SLX missiles, enhancing engagement flexibility against various aerial threats. The IRIS-T SLM has been operational since 2022, while the upcoming SLX variant aims to extend interception capabilities. The system architecture includes a Tactical Operations Center, radar units, and launchers designed for efficient transport and deployment.
