Ghana Chamber of Mines Completes GH₵1.68M Support for Ghana Air Force Aircraft Refurbishment

The Ghana Chamber of Mines has finalized a US$300,000 support initiative for the Ghana Air Force (GAF) with a donation of GH₵1.68 million aimed at refurbishing aircraft for national operations. The donation, presented on February 5, 2026, supports critical duties such as security, surveillance, and emergency responses.
The Chamber's Chief Executive Officer, Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, emphasized the mining industry's recognition of the Air Force's significance in national security. This pledge, initiated with a US$150,000 donation in 2024, reinforces the importance of public-private partnerships in enhancing national security capabilities.
