Gitai USA Selected for Space-Based Missile Defense Program
Gitai USA has been chosen for the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) program, which develops a missile defense system to counter modern threats. This selection positions Gitai among a select group of companies contributing to advanced space defense technologies.

Gitai USA will contribute its robotic technology, including the inchworm robot, to the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) program aimed at missile defense. The initiative is part of the Golden Dome of America architecture, with demonstrations scheduled for 2028.
Gitai's technology previously demonstrated capabilities at the International Space Station, utilizing a 1.5m-long dual robotic arm system for in-space servicing and assembly. The selection follows a competitive evaluation process, emphasizing the need for rapid advancements in response to evolving missile threats, as noted by USSF officials, highlighting the importance of continuous industry collaboration.
