Glenfarne Alaska LNG, LLC and Danaos Corporation announced a partnership to advance the Alaska LNG Project. Danaos will invest $50 million and facilitate the construction of six LNG carriers. The project consists of two phases: a 739-mile pipeline and a liquefaction terminal for 20 MTPA of LNG exports.

Glenfarne owns 75% of the project, with the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation owning 25%. The project has secured preliminary commitments for 11 MTPA of LNG from buyers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
