Glenfarne and Danaos Partner to Advance Alaska LNG Project with $50 Million Investment
Glenfarne Alaska LNG, LLC and Danaos Corporation have formed a partnership to advance the Alaska LNG Project, with Danaos committing $50 million to aid in the construction of six LNG carriers. The project includes a 739-mile pipeline and a liquefaction terminal with a capacity for 20 MTPA of LNG exports, and has already secured preliminary commitments for 11 MTPA from buyers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. Glenfarne holds a 75% stake in the project, while the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation owns the remaining 25%.
