Golden Pass LNG Achieves First Production Milestone with QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil
Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, has successfully achieved its first LNG production, marking a significant step towards full operational status in Sabine Pass, Texas. This development is crucial as it aligns with QatarEnergy's broader investment strategy, aiming to strengthen global energy security and enhance the availability of cleaner energy.

Golden Pass LNG has achieved its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, a key milestone in its operational timeline, which includes three LNG trains and a capacity of 18 million tons per annum. This production milestone positions the facility to commence its first cargo delivery from Sabine Pass, Texas, in the second quarter of 2026.
The joint venture, in which QatarEnergy holds a 70% stake and ExxonMobil 30%, represents a strategic investment exceeding $10 billion, first announced in February 2019. The operational commencement coincides with growing global energy security concerns, highlighting the project's significance in the current energy landscape.
