Goyang City Extends Development Restrictions on Former National Defense University Site Until 2028
Goyang Special City has extended development restrictions on the former National Defense University site until February 2028, initially designated as a restricted area in February 2023. This decision aims to mitigate social and economic losses caused by disorderly development and real estate speculation, prohibiting activities such as construction and land division. A public notice period was held from January 9 to inform local residents of the extension.

Goyang Special City has announced a two-year extension of development permit restrictions on the former National Defense University site located at 291-7 Deogeun-dong, Deogyang-gu. Initially designated as a restricted area on February 14, 2023, the site will now remain under development restrictions until February 13, 2028.
This extension follows a public notice period from January 9 for 15 days to inform residents. The restricted area aims to prevent social and economic losses due to disorderly development and real estate speculation in urban development project zones. Development activities such as building construction, installation of structures, alteration of land form, and land division are prohibited in this area.
