Grand Junction Begins Phase Two of Four Canyons Parkway Transportation Project

NATURAL GAS

The City of Grand Junction has commenced Phase Two of the Four Canyons Parkway project, aimed at improving transportation along 25 Road and Patterson Road. Construction will begin on January 12, focusing on installing additional utility infrastructure east of 24 1/2 Road.

The work will progress from north to south, concluding at the 25 Road and Patterson Road intersection, with planned traffic detours to minimize disruption. Phase Two is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, featuring a new four-lane arterial, a reconfigured intersection, and widening of 25 Road south to Patterson.

Excel Energy finished the 25 Road Natural Gas Project on December 13, 2025, enhancing local natural gas system safety. Phase One, completed in 2024, established a four-lane arterial from 24 Road to 24 1/2 Road, including a signalized intersection and a roundabout. This project is part of the 2018 Grand Junction Circulation Plan, funded by a voter-approved measure in 2019.
