The alliance builds on prior work from 2025, focusing on a diversified energy strategy that includes small modular reactors and other energy sources. The partnership aims to foster long-term industrial development at the site.

Great Plains Industrial Park (GPIP) has formed a strategic alliance with The Boldt Company to enhance power generation capabilities at its southeast Kansas facility. Boldt will provide construction and infrastructure expertise as a strategic partner.
This partnership aims to improve project delivery efficiency while maintaining quality standards. The collaboration builds on a 2025 power study conducted by GPIP, which outlined a diversified energy strategy known as the 'Power Quilt,' incorporating various energy sources, including small modular reactors.
Additionally, GPIP has engaged with Deep Fission for nuclear technology testing at the site. The partnership is expected to support GPIP's long-term growth and industrial development.
