Greece has launched five micro-satellites under the National Microsatellite Programme (NMP), with the first images received in December 2025. The program aims to enhance public administration, security, and sustainable development using satellite data.

A central digital platform in Athens will manage satellite data for various ministries, allowing immediate access to information. This infrastructure supports agriculture by providing tools for monitoring subsidies and land use, while also aiding in environmental monitoring and civil protection through early detection of disasters. The initiative strengthens Greece's defense and national security capabilities.
