Greece Receives First French Belharra Frigate in €25 Billion Defense Plan

Greece has received its first Belharra frigate from France, part of a €25 billion defense modernization plan. The four frigates will enhance Greece's deterrence capabilities amid tensions with Turkey. The plan includes 20 US F-35 jets and Israeli air-defense systems by 2036. Greece's military spending remains politically supported despite its financial recovery from 2010-2018.
