Greek Leadership Discusses Defense and Economic Measures Ahead of Elections

A meeting between Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis and President Tasoulas is scheduled for 11 a.m. to discuss defense posture and economic measures. The government is monitoring potential tensions with Turkey linked to the 'Blue Homeland' doctrine, while preparing its armed forces for various contingencies.
Additionally, Greece has received €24.6 billion from the Recovery and Resilience Fund, with 204 milestones completed. In June, over 80% of families will receive a €150 allowance per child as part of a €800 million support package aimed at mitigating economic pressures. The government plans to focus on reforms and public projects ahead of the next election, expected in approximately one year.
