Green Africa has appointed Captain Bart Roberts as Chief Operating Officer to enhance its operational leadership in Nigeria's domestic aviation market. With over 40 years of aviation experience, including senior roles at JetBlue and American Airlines, he will oversee key areas such as flight operations and crew training, working alongside CEO Babawande Afolabi to drive sustainable growth. This strategic move aims to bolster the airline's reliability, safety, and affordability since its inception in 2021.

Green Africa has appointed Captain Bart Roberts as Chief Operating Officer to strengthen its operational leadership in Nigeria's domestic aviation market. Captain Roberts will oversee flight operations, the Integrated Operations Control Centre, safety, airport services, and crew training.
He will collaborate with the airline's CEO, Babawande Afolabi, to provide strategic direction as Green Africa aims for sustainable growth and operational resilience in a challenging environment. Captain Roberts brings over 40 years of aviation leadership experience, previously serving as Executive Director at Cirrus Aircraft and holding senior roles at JetBlue and American Airlines.
His military background in the U.S. Navy adds depth to his leadership profile. Green Africa, founded in Lagos and operational since 2021, focuses on reliability, safety, and affordability, and aims to enhance its service capabilities with this appointment.
