GTA V Adaptation for Drone Operator Training in Ukraine
A modification of GTA V enables Ukrainian drone operators to practice intercepting Iranian Shahed drones in a virtual setting. This initiative, backed by the WeTrueGun center, enhances operational readiness and skill maintenance for UAV pilots.

A modified version of GTA V has been created in Ukraine to help drone operators train against Iranian Shahed drones. The WeTrueGun center reports that this platform allows for skills development in a controlled, urban environment, crucial for maintaining operational effectiveness.
The project is funded by donations, offering free training for new contract soldiers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Key objectives include psychological relief for pilots and skill retention. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces utilize advanced air defense systems, including a simulator for FIM-92 Stinger operators and a mobile system operated via gaming joysticks, to combat enemy UAVs effectively.
