Guangdong Maintains Leadership in China's Industrial Robot Production for Sixth Year
Guangdong Province has been the leading producer of industrial robots in China for six consecutive years, with projections of 336,300 industrial robots and 15.18 million service robots produced in 2025. The province's AI core industry is expected to reach an output value of 300 billion yuan by 2025. Guangdong plans further investment in AI and robotics infrastructure, including an increase in drone landing points and improvements in high-speed rail and expressways.

Guangdong Province has been the top producer of industrial robots in China for six years, with 336,300 industrial robots and 15.18 million service robots projected for 2025, accounting for 43.5% and 81.7% of the national totals. The AI core industry output is set to reach 300 billion yuan.
The province plans to invest in AI models, operating systems, and robotics hardware. In 2025, civil drone output rose by 39%, contributing over 90% to the national total. Guangdong has built extensive aviation infrastructure, including 73 airports and over 3,500 landing sites. Its high-speed railway system has 3,411 kilometers of operational mileage, and expressway mileage exceeds 12,000 kilometers, both ranking first nationally.
