The Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai announced a provision of Rs 51 crore for a research park at L D College of Engineering in Ahmedabad, based on the Indian Institute of Technology model. The park will focus on seven verticals: Computing and ICT, Automation and Robotics, Electronics and Semiconductor, Chemical Engineering, FinTech, Applied Sciences, and Cyber Security Education.

It aims to create high-skilled job opportunities, enhance public services, and foster entrepreneurship. The initiative will strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, drive technological innovation, and support sustainable development.
