The Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GUDM) has won the 'Best Community Impact Project Award' from India Water Foundation for its Integrated Command and Control Centre, which oversees sewer network cleaning in 156 municipalities. This initiative, guided by Minister Kanubhai Desai, improves sewer system upkeep and promotes water reuse.

The award will be presented at the Water Transversality Global Awards in New Delhi on March 6-7, 2026. Concurrently, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the 'Gujarat Semi Connect Conference 2026' to engage industry leaders in discussions about investments in semiconductor facilities, focusing on memory modules, power chips, and specialty chemicals.
